This was my first game jam in a while, and it was both a challenge and a learning experience. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a unique idea, but eventually, I ended up putting a small twist on the classic paper airplane mini-game from WarioWare on the GBA.

Overall, I’m glad I participated— it gave me a lot more practice working with Pico-8. That said, there’s definitely room for improvement. Now that the jam is over (not counting the voting part), I remember why I stopped doing these years ago. I think I will stick with working on my personal projects, without the theme and time restriction.

Things I Wish I Could Have Added:
    - Music (it felt a bit too quiet without it)
    - Better sound effects (could have added more impact to the gameplay)
    - A visual effect for passing flags, like particles
    - Something more original than the paper airplane mechanic.
